Start of production of the "Ford Transit" in SEZ "Alabuga"

Today in the Special Economic Zone "Alabuga" was held a solemn ceremony of launching the production of "Ford Transit". The event was attended by Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina and other distinguished guests.

Ford Sollers joint venture produces 6 models of cars, including the Ford Explorer and Ford Kuga in Tatarstan. Each Ford car, assembled in Russia, passes strict quality control in accordance with international standards Ford Motor Company.

TIDA also visited the "A Plus Park Alabuga" Industrial Park, the total area of  the complex is 200 000 sq. m. The attracting investment to this infrastructure was also discussed.

A special place in the SEZ visit program took a visit to the first international school in Tatarstan Alabuga International School, where holds training on advanced educational technologies, focusing on language training, which is carried out by native speaking teachers. The school is located in a modern two-store building, on the territory there are 2 swimming pools with ionized water, gym,  rooms for dance and music, a large seating area and dining area. The first academic year began in September 2014.
