The investment potential of Tatarstan sweeping the country from St. Petersburg: agreements between regions are being prepared

Today Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina met with the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region Renat Valiullin. During the meeting, which was held in TIDA, member of the Government and the head of Tatarstan Representative discussed the preparations for a large-scale presentation of investment and economic potential of Tatarstan for the business community, including large businesses of Northwest Russia. The event will be held in October 2015 in St. Petersburg, and will continue on a systematic basis. TIDA and representation of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region agreed about the presentation of investment opportunities of Tatarstan in July. As part of a business mission (July 29-August 2) more than 20 business leaders who represent various spheres, including hospitality, tourism, logistics held business meetings and visited the facilities of the innovation and investment infrastructure of the republic. "St. Petersburg - is a powerful economic investment, industrial center of Russia and the North-West of the country, also closely integrated with the high-tech segment of Europe. And it's very interesting for us. An agreement of Tatarstan with St. Petersburg and Leningrad region is being prepared. The situation on the world market objectively helps to ensure the Russian regions cooperating more closely", - said Taliya Minullina at today's meeting. As the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region Renat Valiullin noted, today in conjunction with TIDA is holding hard work on developing economic cooperation: the St. Petersburg business is interested in closer cooperation and is ready to participate in joint investment projects and increasing trade between regions. So, TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina said at the TIDA’s Board, held on February 3, 2015, about the need to intensify cooperation with the offices of Tatarstan and this work is actively carrying out.
