Taliya Minullina presents investment potential of Tatarstan to Luxembourg

Today Tatarstan Investment Development Agency held a presentation of the investment potential of Tatarstan to the Trade (Commerce and Industry) Chamber of Luxembourg. RT delegation headed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working visit to the Western European country.

TIDA Chief Executive gave details about the unique investment climate in Tatarstan, which is recognized as the best in the country, perspective niches for investment, objects of investment infrastructure.

Addressing to the business community of the city-state, Taliya Minullina noted:

"Cooperation of Tatarstan and Luxembourg in the framework of Russian-Luxembourg relations has its own history and potential.

So, in 2012 former Prime Minister of Luxembourg visited Tatarstan (he is now president of the European Commission). We conducted Luxembourg Tatarstan Business Forum, today - a joint round table. In 2013, an agreement was signed on cooperation between the KFU and the University of Luxembourg. Now we are developing our cooperation in other areas".

Earlier, during a meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Prime Minister - Minister of Economy, Minister of Internal Security and Defence of Luxembourg, the Co-Chair of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Belgium-Luxembourg Economic Union Etienne Schneider had announced plans to intensify work in areas such as cooperation with the University "Innopolis", large Tatarstan manufacturers of petrochemical products, interaction within the automotive cluster, including PJSC "KAMAZ", the organization of start-up projects in the field of information technology.

"We know that the whole Luxembourg is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is a great achievement. We have two objects of Heritage Site, and they are worth to visit Tatarstan", - told Taliya Minullina about the Kazan Kremlin and the ancient Bulgar.

During the visit also held a meeting with the Chairman and CEO of Nekton investment firm Gerard Lopez, Tatarstan delegation visited the innovation district "Belval", where they got acquainted with the work of a business incubator "Technoport" and the Luxembourg Agency for Innovation "Lyuksinnoveyshn".

It is expected that joint projects will be worked out by February 2016 - Russian-Luxembourg intergovernmental commission will be held in Sochi.
