Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Presented the Project of Vladimir Putin

There was a round-table discussion named “The Agency of Strategic Initiatives: new opportunities for business” in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA). The participants of the meeting were representatives of infrastructure organizations of Tatarstan small and middle-size entrepreneurship and social associations of entrepreneurs. First of all, Chief Executive of TIDA Linar Yakupov announced a goal of the meeting, which was the discussion of contribution to the creation of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives; identification of the essential functions of a new project (The Agency of Strategic Initiatives).

As Chief Executive of TIDA Linar Yakupov mentioned:

"The Agency of Strategic Initiatives plays a role of a social lift for those who have ideas and potential for making a breakthrough, but don’t have opportunities because of some obstacles.

This is a chance to be involved in the process of identifying and removing the most significant barriers to development of small and medium-size businesses. Moreover, it is a great opportunity of sharing your own ideas contributing to improvement of business climate. I have met with the authors and promoters of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives. All of them hope that a new project will be a platform for mobilization and realization of applied business-ideas."

Head of Supervisory Board of the Strategic Initiatives Agency is Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Other members of the Board are Minister of Economic Development Elvira Nabiullina, President of Tatarstan Republic Rustem Minnikhanov, heads of business associations and a number of governors of the Russian Federation.

According to Linar Yakupov, even though most of the regions have reacted to the opportunity of participation in the project, there are just few participants from Tatarstan. Khaidar Khaliullin, President of the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses of Tatarstan, thinks that such low activity is caused by mistrust of businessmen to such projects.
