VII Baikal International Economic Forum

VII Baikal International Economic Forum finished its work. Within the framework of the Forum Tatarstan Delegation headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the exhibition of investment projects “Siberia - the land of opportunities”, Irkutsk – the supporting point", where they got acquainted with investment projects of SCO member countries and RF regions – Irkutsk and Irkutsk region, Far East and Siberia, Moscow, St. Petersburg and foreign countries. Also, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) Linar Yakupov took part in the event.

Problems connected with realization of Strategy on social and economic development of the Far East and Baikal region for the period till 2025 were discussed at the forum. The Republic of Tatarstan was many times cited as an example of a region where investment policy was successfully implemented and positive partnership relations were established.

VII Baikal international economic forum is held under the auspices of RF Federation Council with the assistance of RF President and RF Government. Deputies of RF State Duma, members of RF Federation Council, chiefs of 25 RF regions, representative delegations from EU and Asia-Pacific region, representatives of big business and science are taking part in the event.
