Taliya Minullina, the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, took part in the opening of «Dryloсk Technologies» plant. The ceremony was held with participation of Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov. Belgian «Drylock Technologies» company launches a factory for the production of hygiene products with total value of 40 million Euros. The enterprise will produce absorbent underwear, diapers and special products for people with urological diseases. The new plant is designed for 14 lines with gradual commissioning. The general capacity of manufacture is planned to reach over 140 million pieces per month. After achieving the plant’s design capacity, it is planned to expand the sales to CIS countries. After this event the Head of Tatarstan investment Development Agency will take part in the session of Supervisory council of Special Economic Zone «Alabuga» as its permanent member. «Drylock Technologies» LLC is a subsidiary of Belgian company «Drylock Technologies» The company became a resident of SEZ «Alabuga» in March, 2013. From the third quarter of 2013 to the third quarter of 2014, the preparation of land plot was done, foundation works were completed. The construction of the plant was frozen in 2014 because of funding difficulties. The decision to resume plant construction in Tatarstan was taken by the company’s management in July 2015.
Today, the construction of a new «Grodan» factory for the production of plant substrates at the territory of Special Economic Zone «Alabuga» was launched. The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina and the CEO of Rockwool-Volga factory Maksim Vasilyev took part in an event.
The initiator and investor of a new project is «Rockwool-Volga» LLC, an existing resident of SEZ «Alabuga». Rock wool based products of «Rockwool» will enhance the energy efficiency of our buildings and facilities not only in the republican but also in the federal market as a whole.
The construction of the production building will be carried out by Alabuga Development Company, a subsidiary of Alabuga SEZ, established to provide general contracting services to residents of the special economic zone. The Rockwool project will be the first order for the new organization. The building for the new production line will be attached to the existing plant. The construction is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2018.
