Taliya Minullina: "We are ready to give Germany all the chances to become the first one this year"

Today, on February 19, the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina arrived with a two-days working visit to Germany as a part of the delegation of Tatarstan headed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

In Dresden, top officials of Tatarstan will meet with the Prime-minister of Saxony Michael Kretschmer. The meeting will mark a new stage in regional relations: The government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the government of the Federal State of Saxony plan to sign an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.

In the frames of the visit, the delegation will visit a number of large companies in order to strengthen business ties. The company with many years experience of working in the global market "ADZ Nagano" is already in partnership with Tatarstan: Kazan plant "Electropribor" and ADZ Nagano implemented a joint project for the production of pressure sensors.

The working program of the second day in Germany is aimed at establishing strong business relations with the political elite and the business community of Bavaria. In Munich, the delegation will get acquainted with activities of "Rohde & Schwarz" company, operating in the field of information technology and network security. After that, the Ministry of Economy of Bavaria will hold a round table with the business community of the region.

Taliya Minullina will also hold a number of business meetings, including ones with representatives of Silicon Saxony - an industry association, including almost 300 German companies in the field of microelectronics and related sectors.

"Germany is our leading partner. For 9 months of 2018, the country invested 108 513,4 thousand USD in Tatarstan. The foreign trade turnover of Germany with the Republic of Tatarstan in 2018 amounted to 1,919 million USD, including Tatarstani export to Germany of 993 million USD. Germany is represented in the republic by such large corporations as Siemens and Daimler, which have long-standing cooperation with Tatarstan. Moreover, this year Daimler together with JSC "KAMAZ" plans to start serial production of cab shells with the capacity of 55 thousand units per year. We are aimed at further comprehensive cooperation with the German side and are ready to give all chances not only to strengthen its position, but to become the first in the rating of investor countries of the Republic of Tatarstan", - Taliya Minullina commented with a smile.
