The Agreement of Cooperation between the PharmMedPolis RT medical cluster and ZAO Farmgid was signed in the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. According to the Agreement, the Indian investor, in particular, is going to localize the production of raw materials for finished dosage forms – API (active pharmaceutical ingredients) – within the Tatarstan Medical Industrial Park.

“The healthcare industry is a priority for us. It is observed in the Strategy for Social and Economic Development of Tatarstan up to 2030, and in the national projects of Russia, so it is very important to have reliable partners. Just for this purpose we even established a specific institute in the field of medical development – PharmMedPolis of the Republic of Tatarstan. We expect that in the years ahead we will be able to fill up the investment niches existing in this area. In general, Russia has great needs for drugs, equipment, and technologies. Actually, there is an upward trend in many areas,” said Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. She emphasized that the Agency is ready to provide comprehensive support for the implementation of joint projects: to help with the staff, customs procedures, and provide any necessary assistance within its competencies.

ZAO Farmgid is a representative of an international pharmaceutical company whose activities are aimed at improving people's health by providing affordable and high quality medicines. The company has been existing for more than 10 years and has been implementing a number of programs in the healthcare sector. It is engaged in the distribution of pharmaceutical products, medical equipment, and consumables in Russia and the CIS.

“We are engaged in distribution and supply raw materials to almost 70 percent of the Russian plants. In Tatarstan, as a first step, we decided to produce ingredients, in prospect, we may consider the option with the finished drugs. We liked the site for the launching of production. I sent my designers from India, they are preparing a project for the premises,” said Bhusan Bharat, the General Director of the company.
