At the same time, 60% of the laminate is supplied to the domestic market of Russia, ”said Ali Kylych, General Director of Kastamonu Russia.

In August 2021, WhatWood analytical agency conducted a large-scale study of the Russian laminate and MDF market, during which it evaluated and compared the shares of the largest manufacturers of the woodworking industry. According to the research results, Kastamonu ranks first in Russia in terms of the volume of laminate and MDF production as of 2021.

The Kastamonu plant for the production of MDF, HDF and laminated flooring has been operating in the Alabuga SEZ in Tatarstan since 2014. The company produces laminate from 31st to 34th class of wear resistance and various types of MDF boards, including moisture-resistant and fire-resistant. The production capacity of MDF boards is 1.05 million m³ per year.
