Thomson Reuters Visits Kazan Smart City

TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov and Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC) CEO Bulat Gayanov participated in the meeting.

Over the course of the meeting, the participants discussed the progress that has been made since the signing of a memorandum between Thomson Reuters and TIDA in Dubai Media City on 1 May. The memorandum was signed after a meeting in the company’s offices with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Under the memorandum, Thomson Reuters bacome an official information partner of Kazan Smart City and will open a representative office on the territory of Kazan Smart City.

During the meeting, Thomson Reuters reaffirmed its intentions to open a representative office in Kazan Smart City. Following the meeting, Thomson Reuters official visited the site where Kazan Smart City will be built.

The meeting at TIDA was the first of several meetings that Thomson Reuters is having in the course of its current two-day visit to Kazan.

The outcome of this visit and the action plan for proceeding along the path outlined in the memorandum signed between TIDA and Thomson Reuters will be the topic of discussion during a meeting planned with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will take place on 20-22 June.
