Tatarstan Investment Development Agency opens a series of off-site investment seminars
Today in the plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation held an investment seminar on "Engineering and manufacturing of automotive components". The meeting was organized in Moscow by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the Plenipotentiary Representative of Tatarstan in Russia.
Seminar on Engineering and production of automotive components is the first from a series of TIDA’s off-site activities in priority areas of the Republic of Tatarstan. Recall that in Tatarstan identified eight priority areas for development: chemical and petrochemical industry, mechanical engineering and automotive components manufacturing, information technology and telecommunications, construction, building materials and furniture, medicine and pharmaceuticals, processing of agricultural products, halal industry, service industries and tourism.
The investment seminar "Engineering and manufacturing of automotive components" was attended by representatives of foreign states in Russia - Embassy of the Czech Republic, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Malaysia, and a representative of Bashkortostan and Trade Commission of France in Russia. The participants were also Russian and world companies, operating in the automotive sector: KAMAZ, Mercedes-Benz, Lifan Industrial Group, Metalsa, Kiekert AG, Tenneco Automotive Volga, TRW Automotive Aftermarket, Chery.
"Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow is often becoming a place for important and significant event for the republic," - shared Tatarstan representative in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin, opening the investment seminar. - "Representatives from a lot of countries, potential investors, wishing to start cooperation with Tatarstan, come to us. - After the talks and discussion of specific proposals, many of them subsequently come to the territory of the Republic to discuss details of cooperation and now working successfully with Tatarstan".
The idea of holding seminars on priority areas of Tatarstan, initiated by TIDA, said Ravil Akhmetshin, will open for the Republic a new and interesting opportunities.

Linar Yakupov also told the participants about the new investment platform of the republic – Kazan Smart City, the operator of the project -Tatarstan Development Corporation. He shared information about the large-scale events that will be held in the republic this year: Universiade 2013, Kazan Summit 2013, and Euro-Asia Expo 2013. He also noted work with leading companies, the Russian banks, presented a Tatarstan as a region where the conditions for working, living and recreation are created.
Investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan in the seminar presented TIDA Head of Investment Promotion Wyatt Ford. Industrial sites, created on the territory of the Republic, presented TIDA Head of support and monitoring of investment projects Arthur Nigmatulin. A separate presentation was devoted to the SEZ "Alabuga" – about activities of the special economic zone told the SEZ "Alabuga" Head of the department in attracting residents Timur Khaziev.
Success stories of their companies in the Republic of Tatarstan at a seminar presented representatives of KAMAZ, Kiekert AG, Mercedes-Benz. As the Executive Vice President of Kiekert (Germany) Jürgen Peuelen noted, he is glad to cooperate with the Republic of Tatarstan.

Investment seminar "Engineering and manufacturing of automotive components", organized jointly with TIDA and Plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russian Federation lasted more than three hours, during which they discussed new areas of cooperation, sounded an open dialogue of the state (represented TIDA) and business. Investors interested in cooperation with the republic, talked about their expectations and possible areas of cooperation. The participants noted that such meetings give opportunity to get new information, share ideas, talk about the goals, objectives and business development issues.
