Tatarstan Development Corporation signs a cooperation agreement with Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering (KSUAE)
The signing took place during the meeting of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov with the rector of the Kazan State Architectural University Rashit Nizamov.
Today, in the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was a meeting between Tatarstan Development Corporation, TIDA and KSUAE representatives. The theme of a discussion was the implementation of the project of a new investment platform of Tatarstan Republic - "Smart City Kazan."
The agreements, reached at the meeting, participants signed in the cooperation agreement between JSC "Tatarstan Development Corporation " and the Kazan State Architecture and Construction University. Document was signed by Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov and rector of KSUAE Rashit Nizamov.
The agreement is about a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation of Tatarstan Development Corporation and KSUAE in the field of science and practical work on the creation, participation and partnership in projects aimed at the implementation of research projects of "Smart City Kazan".
In addition, to meet the challenges of the "Smart City Kazan" project both sides agreed that in the aim of attracting students and young professionals of KSUAE they need to intensify training and practical activities in Republic of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov noticed that "Smart City Kazan" project should become a testing ground for students of KSUAE, where they will learn modern urbanism, construction technologies of "smart" cities and can use their knowledge, which they get during studies. KSUAE can act as a competence center for the construction of future cities in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Should also recall that in these days in Kazan a competition among the students of the architectural profession is held. The participants compete with each other in an eco-model of "Smart City Kazan". One of the main requirements to the newly created model of the city is using a recyclable materials, such as cardboard boxes, newspapers, magazines, plastic, wood. The competition is organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Tatarstan Development Corporation.
