Stephan Mergenthaler: "Tatarstan have good experience in attracting investment!"

Today in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was a meeting with a Deputy Head of Strategic Forecasting of World Economic Forum (WEF).

The meeting was attended by TIDA First Deputy Robert Galiullin, TIDA Deputy Insaf Galiev, TIDA Head of investment promotion department Wyatt Ford, Tatarstan TIDA Head of support and monitoring of investment projects department Arthur Nigmatulin, Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov and General Director of Tatarstan Export Corporation Airat Nazmeev.

During the meeting to Stephan Mergenthaler was held a presentation of the investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, a new investment platform of the republic - "Smart City Kazan" and showed a video of the project.  TIDA First Deputy Robert Galiullin told the guest about a large PR-campaign «Invest in Tatarstan». TIDA Head of investment promotion department Wyatt Ford noted that Tatarstan Investment Development Agency is in the World Association of Investment Agencies (WAIPA) and is the Director of WAIPA for Eastern Europe. Tatarstan Development Corporation and Tatarstan Export Corporation activities were also presented to Stephan Mergenthaler.

Guest in response said that he was impressed by the work of the Tatarstan’s team in the field of promotion of the investment potential of the republic and attracting investment. He also said that during his visit he is studying the economy of Tatarstan as one of the most actively developing regions of Russia. According to Stephan Mergenthaler, experts from the World Economic Forum organized a work to study the economic success stories of Russian regions, assessing the conditions of creating and running a business, relations with investors. Mergenthaler said that the first results will be announced in September at the World Economic Forum event in Moscow and the final report will be presented at the WEF in Davos.
