Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov is on a working visit in Korea

Linar Yakupov takes part in the 13th session of the Russian-Korean joint commission on economic and scientific-technical cooperation.

Thirteenth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission opened today in the capital of the Republic of Korea - Seoul. The Russian delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Russian part of the Joint Commission, the Minister of the Russian Federation on the development of the Far East - Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Far Eastern Federal District Viktor Ishayev. At the head of the Republic of Korea delegation - Korean Chairman of the Joint Commission, the Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and Finance of the Republic of Korea Hyun O Sok.

Russian-Korean Joint Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation works since 1991 and it is an important mechanism for ensuring the development of cooperation between Russia and Korea at the intergovernmental level. Thirteenth meeting of the intergovernmental commission will be held in Seoul from 8 to 9 July.

In 2012 the meeting of the Russian-Korean Joint Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation held in Moscow. The event evaluated the current economic situation in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea, discussed the issues of bilateral economic cooperation. Representatives of ministries and departments of the two countries discussed cooperation in trade and investment, energy, natural resources, industry, construction, transport, science and technology, agriculture and fisheries, health, culture and tourism, as well as issues of inter-regional relations.
