Italian-based Renco S.p.A. expressed interest in participating in the development of Kazan Smart City during a meeting held at the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency today.
According to the company, they are looking for a first project to begin working on in Tatarstan.
Director of Renco Russia David Goguadze explained in the meeting that representatives of the Italian company were in Kazan to learn more about the concrete ways they might become involved in Kazan Smart City.
TIDA and Renco first met in February of this year. AT the time, Renco Director Giovanni Rubini expressed interested in entering Tatarstan through Kazan Smart City.
In his remarks today, TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov discussed with Renco representatives the role that Kazan Smart City would play in becoming a point of growth for the development of tourism and the service industry in Kazan and the republic.
During the meeting TIDA also recommended several companies that Renco might be able to work with in Tatarstan.
