Organizational meeting for the KazanSummit2013

Till the V International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2013) remains 40 days.

At the organizational conference, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, came representatives of ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan hippodrome, "Kazan" International airport and Tatarstan customs. Andrey Baklanov - representative of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation also attended the meeting.

International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries KazanSummit 2013 held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan from 2009. This year, Kazan meets anniversary KazanSummit.

Ildar Halikov in his welcoming speech underscored that the summit has not only federal (from 2012 summit is supported by the Federation Council of the Russian Federation), but also worldwide recognition.

Details of the upcoming anniversary KazanSummit 2013 presented Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov. He said that every year summit gathers more and more representatives of the Russian and abroad authorities, business and investment funds, leading media.

In addition to the traditional strategic and investment forums,conferences on Islamic economics and finance as well as the meetings of parliamentarians on KazanSummit 2013 planned to held totally new events. Among them will be business forum in the field of trade relations between Russia and OIC countries, a round table on food security.

In October 1, before the opening of KazanSummit 2013, will be a groundbreaking ceremony of a new investment platform of Tatarstan - Kazan Smart City. The groundbreaking ceremony with the participation of top officials of the republic, representatives of the investor companies will be on the territory of future city. The city, which will be built in 3 km from the international "Kazan" airport and 15 km from Kazan, will become a new growth point of the republic and a platform for business development.

KazanSummit 2013 will be held in International Information Centre, the place, who took another important event - the Universiade 2013.  Here will be the meeting with businesses, investors, parliamentarians, discussions of cooperation between Russia and OIC countries and the role of investment promotion agencies. The program KazanSummit 2013 include working breakfast with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, racing for the KazanSummit Cup, discussion on the role of government and business in forming an investment attractiveness.

Today, at the meeting Linar Yakupov stressed the importance on discussing issues of Islamic finance. Andrey Baklanov also noticed this direction. He said that about 10 senators from the Council of the Federation are going to attend KazanSummit 2013.
