Investment digest of the Republic of Tatarstan: “investment hour” with the Mendeleevsky district

The Mendeleevsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan reported on the implementation of measures to ensure sustainable socio-economic development within the framework of the republican meeting chaired by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Such meetings are held on a weekly basis in the Government House of the Republic. The report of the head of the district examines the main indicators of the district's activity, the development of industries, the state of entrepreneurship, the level of wages and unemployment, the pace of construction of social infrastructure and housing, education, and achievements in a variety of areas.

The head of the Mendeleevsky district, Radmir Belyaev, said that the main indicator of the district’s activity is the value of the gross territorial product (GTP). In 2022, the volume of high-tech products is estimated at 43.8 billion rubles.

Investments in fixed capital, according to estimates, for 2022 amounted to 3.3 billion rubles.

Mendeleevsk is a single-industry town, and the basis of the region’s industry is our city-forming enterprises: the flagship of the economy is the group of enterprises of the "Ammoniy" joint-stock company.

The volume of investments in Ammonia projects this year exceeds the forecast values and amounts to 1.5 billion rubles:

— Production of liquid mineral fertilizers (LMF) with a capacity of 150 thousand tons/year. Investments – 393 million rubles.

— Reconstruction of non-concentrated nitric acid unit No. 2 with an increase in capacity to 17 tons/hour. Investments – 246 million rubles.

— Construction of a plant for the production of a liquid component for purifying exhaust gases of diesel engines based on urea (AdBlue) with a capacity of 32 thousand tons/year. Investments – 102 million rubles.

— Construction of a plant for the production of liquid carbon dioxide from waste CO2 from Ammonia production with a capacity of 32,000 tons/year. Investments – 691 million rubles.

Work is underway on the "Ammonia-2" project, worth 120 billion rubles, which will allow the existing production of fertilizers to be more than doubled.

The project will become an anchor resident of the new economic zone "Alabuga-Mendeleevsk", for which land plots with an area of 900 hectares have been identified.

On the territory of the plant, a site has been allocated for an industrial park, where 4 residents work. 270 million rubles were invested, more than 70 jobs were created. The anchor resident of the park, the "Kama Sachs" company, produces polypropylene bags for such large manufacturers as SIBUR and Gazprom.

The main point of growth for business development in the region is the ASEZ. Residents of the ASEZ are 17 companies with an investment volume of 2.6 billion rubles. and the creation of 372 jobs. Over the past year, 8 new residents have been attracted. 950 million rubles were invested, 177 new jobs were created. An additional 4 investment projects are under consideration.

The largest investment project within the ASEZ was the creation of production at "New Fertilizers" LLC worth 500 million rubles.

The construction of an enterprise for the production of concrete and concrete products is nearing completion. The cost of investment is more than 100 million rubles.

"KhimSnab" LLC organized the production of industrial starch with a capacity of 15 tons per day.

An important component in attracting investors is the availability of accessible infrastructure for business. For this purpose, the municipal industrial park “Mendeleevsk 2.0” is being created adjacent to the M-7 federal highway with an area of 22.4 hectares. 5 companies have been selected, the volume of investment will be more than 3 billion rubles with the creation of 500 new jobs.

Design and estimate documentation for the construction of utility networks has been developed, and a positive conclusion from the state examination has been received. The total cost of construction of engineering infrastructure will be 902 million rubles.

Private industrial sites are also being developed. The private Bondyuzhsky park was accredited on an area of 2.2 hectares. Residents of the park launched 2 production facilities for the production of automotive components from sheet metal and a workshop for overhauling equipment for the oil and gas industry.

Investments are attracted not only in the production sector, but also in the tourism sector. The construction of a hotel complex in the city center is nearing completion. The cost of private investments is 150 million rubles.

The project of a five-star glamping park with a "White Lily" spa center on the banks of the Kama River is being implemented. The cost of investment at the 1st stage is 300 million rubles.
