Three secondary schools in Tatarstan opened thanks to the public-private partnership mechanism
The partnership between the state and business is working: for the Day of Knowledge of Rais RT, Rustam Minnikhanov commissioned 3 new schools for 3.5 thousand students.
In February 2022, the Republic of Tatarstan submitted applications to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation to participate in the third wave of selection for the construction of schools within the framework of the Federal State Program “Development of Education” using the mechanism of concession agreements, of which 3 schools were selected.
The Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan has carried out extensive interdepartmental work to implement the construction of secondary schools in the shortest possible time. These projects were supported by the Agency - employees carried out legal and financial expertise, participated in all negotiations to discuss the implementation of objects, and prepared the necessary draft regulations.
As a result of joint work, on December 23, 2022, 3 concession agreements were signed at the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan regarding the financing, creation and operation of educational facilities:
1. General education school for 1501 places at the address: Almaty, st. Kazan, Privolzhsky district, st. R. Gareeva (residential complex “Volzhskie Prostori”, “Nightingale Grove”, “Fairy Forest”);
2. General education school for 1501 places at the address: Naberezhnye Chelny, 34 complex;
3. A comprehensive school for 500 places at the address: the village of Nizhnie Meteski, Arsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The total investment in the three projects is about 6.7 billion rubles, of which 6.55 billion rubles were private investments.
Based on the results of this work, on August 31, Rais RT Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the grand opening of 3 new schools. Also present in the VKS mode were: Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov, Chairman of the State Development Corporation VEB.RF Igor Shuvalov.
