During the forum Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive met with leading Chinese companies and international investors. There also were presented SEZ "Alabuga", new investment platform of the Republic of Tatarstan - Kazan Smart City and Innopolis project.
The annual World Economic Forum (WEF) of new leaders, also known as the "Summer Davos", was opened in the Chinese city of Dalian. Summer Davos held in China since 2007. Forum 2013 is the fourth.
The central theme of the meeting of the new leaders in 2013, with the participation of more than 1.5 thousand politicians, businessmen, scientists, heads of media organizations from 90 countries, were innovation, primarily in Asia. From Russia to the forum came 13 people, the Republic of Tatarstan on the Summer Davos is presented by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang performed on the opening of the forum. It was visited by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich and Russian businessman, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Basic Element" Oleg Deripaska.
Li Keqiang underscored the transformation of China's economy, stressing that reform and innovation are inexhaustible motivation, directed toward the development of the country. He also noted that the steps that have been taken by Chinese government, aimed to making China more open to the rest of the world. Li Keqiang assured that the process of transformation of the Chinese economy is going to make a great contribution to the development and prosperity of the world economy.
Within three days of the forum, which is held in Dalian from September 11 to 13, the participants will discuss the range of issues, including the issue of sustainable development, environment, energy security, trade and investment.
