Today, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan opened the International Transport and Logistics Forum "Creation and development of an integrated international transport and logistics system: prospects and realities," which will be held on September 13-14.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The forum is attended by representatives of the federal government, the subjects of the Russian Federation and major enterprises of Russia and abroad.
International Transport and Logistics Forum in Kazan opened the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov. Transport Minister said that the export of transport services in Russia in 2012 increased to 16% and amount $ 17 billion. Maxim Sokolov noted that a special role in the development of the transport and logistics sector plays the Russian logistics.
Minnikhanov in his welcoming speech underscored that Republic’s transportation and logistics companies increased in the GRP to 8.5%, and also presented data on foreign trade turnover of Tatarstan with 138 countries - $ 25 billion and the regions of Russia - 16 billion dollars.
The forum was also attended by TIDA First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin, Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov and Tatarstan Export Corporation CEO Airat Nazmeev.
TIDA First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin became a member of the round table "Problems and solutions of attracting long-term investment in infrastructure projects”. Robert Galiullin reported on the development of transport infrastructure as a positive factor in the investment attractiveness of the region. He presented a new investment platform of Tatarstan - Kazan Smart City, noting that the project has received international recognition and become a winner of the Russian level of the international competition for real estate FIABCI Prix d'Excellence in the "master plan" nomination.
Ayrat Nazmeev was a speaker at the round table "Development of transport corridors on the Eurasian territory". He presented the prospect of increased exports of Tatarstan producers using new transport and logistics capabilities.
In the International Transport and Logistics Forum was the presentation of the pilot project "Construction of Sviyazhsk multimodal logistics center", intended for the processing traffic of existing transport corridors "East - West", "North - South" and the newly created "Europe - Western China".
The forum discussed the current issues of developing transport corridors, transport and logistics systems, innovation, improvement of transport and regions’ logistics complex. The event will be a platform for the exchange of experiences on the implementation of projects in the field of logistics and transport between the regions of Russia and foreign partners.
