Today DePuy Synthes Johnson & Johnson presented its interest in expanding presence on the Russian market.
The meeting was attended by TIDA Deputy Chief Executive Insaf Galiyev, TIDA Head of investment promotion Wyatt Ford, TIDA Head of development and examination of investment projects department Guzel Mullayarova, Deputy Minister of Health Farida Yarkaeva, Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov and representatives of DePuy Synthes Johnson & Johnson.
Tatarstan Development Corporation is an operator of the Kazan Smart City, where will be created a medical cluster. There is scheduled opening of training medical clinics, medical technology park and research center.
Representatives of DePuy Synthes Johnson & Johnson noted that they are very interested in the Russian market and during a visit they are studying the possibility to localize the production of the company. Kazan became the second city visited by the DePuy Synthes Johnson & Johnson delegation, to the capital of Tatarstan the representatives came from Moscow.
Representatives of the DePuy Synthes Johnson & Johnson asked a lot of questions about providing high-tech medical care, which is currently funded from the federal budget, and from 2015 will be included in the rates of compulsory health insurance (CHI). DePuy Synthes Johnson & Johnson was interested in how these changes may affect on the market.
Participants of the meeting discussed the activities of foreign medical companies and Johnson & Johnson in the republic. Farida Yarkaeva underscored that the products offered by the group of companies Johnson & Johnson are in a good demand. It was also noted that with the support of Johnson & Johnson in Kazan in 2008 opened a new center of high medical technologies.
