Press conference about KazanSummit 2013

Tomorrow at the National Agency of Press and Mass Communications "Tatmedia" will be held the press conference with the participation of KazanSummit Organizing Committee Chairman, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov.

At the press conference, journalists will be informed about the preparation of the KazanSummit 2013, the fifth annual International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries, the program and the most important issues and problems that will be discussed during the KazanSummit 2013.

V International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2013) will be held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, on October 2-3. The event is organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Non-Profit Fund for Development of Islamic Business and Finance, under the patronage of Tatarstan President. In 2012 KazanSummit got a higher level thanks to the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. From the Federation Council this year 10 senators plan to attend KazanSummit.

The participation in the KazanSummit 2013 already confirmed OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Ahmed Mohammed Ali Al Madani, Malaysian Ambassador Dato Zaynol Abidin Omar, Ambassador of Nigeria, Pakistan, Mexico, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sudan , Palestine and Kazakhstan.

At the anniversary KazanSummit scheduled to discuss important issues which are relevant for the development of economic cooperation between Russia and OIC countries. The topics of discussion will be about the trade and investment areas, investments in Russia and world trade, the conference on Islamic economics and finance, as well as a forum dedicated to the latest trends in the world - implementation of the "smart" cities, in particular, the presentation of the Kazan Smart City.

As part of the anniversary summit will be the groundbreaking ceremony of the future city and a new investment project of Tatarstan - Kazan Smart City. The company Thomson Reuters, which in May, current year signed a cooperation agreement, will present at the forum roadmap on Islamic finance, which has been developed in conjunction with Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
