Seminar on "Investing and Doing Business in the Republic of Tatarstan" is on the Russian-Singapore Business Forum
Tatarstan investment seminar «Investing and Doing Business in Tatarstan», organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, opened its second day.
The day before in Singapore opened VIII Russian-Singapore Business Forum. Opening of the Forum was held at the Pan Pacific Singapore hotel, the main platform of the forum this year became the Exhibition Centre Suntec (Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre). This morning on the site of exhibition center was a special event «Investing and Doing Business in Tatarstan», organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
For the first time in the history of Russian-Singapore Business Forum (RSBF) were presented investment opportunities of Tatarstan as a separate forum event - the last years seminar on "Investing and Doing Business in the Republic of Tatarstan" was held outside the RSBF main site.
The delegation of Tatarstan headed by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov included Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Assistant to the President Ayrat Khayrullin, Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov, SEZ "Innopolis" CEO Igor Nosov, Director of the Kazan IT-Park Anton Grachev, "Ak Bars" Bank Board Chairman Robert Minnegaliev.
TIDA special event "Investing and Doing Business in the Republic of Tatarstan" was opened today by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Welcoming the participants, the head of republic thanked for their interest in cooperation with one of the leading regions of the Russian Federation - Republic of Tatarstan. The President recalled that in June, current year the republic hosted a large delegation of Singapore.
Presentation of the investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan presented TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov. He noted the most attractive investment projects of Tatarstan, the development of industrial areas and special economic zones.
TIDA Head of investment promotion Wyatt Ford, who also acted as moderator of investment seminar, presented a new investment platform of the Republic of Tatarstan - Kazan Smart City. It was noted that this project will become a new business center in Russia.
On the practice of doing business in Tatarstan told Lim Shue Tien - The head of Kazan office of Radiance Hospitality Group, which became one of the first investors of Kazan Smart City. The company begins to implement in a new investment site two development projects - a transit hotel and apartment hotel.
His experience in the republic also presented a Malaysian company Advanced Tertiary College. Advanced Tertiary College Company is also developing a project on the Kazan Smart City site - University management and hospitality. The study in this school will be held in English language. Graduates of the University will get an international diploma of London School of Economics.
Educare CEO Mike Tiruman also told about the practice of work in the field of education in the Republic of Tatarstan.
SEZ "Innopolis" CEO Igor Nosov made a presentation of a special economic zone.
In the session "question-answer" investment seminar participants were interested in the prospects and investment opportunities in the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of chemistry and petrochemistry, tax relief on the "SEZ" Innopolis" platform and other aspects of the investment potential of the region.
In addition to the main program the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan will also participate in several activities of the Russian-Singapore Business Forum. In particular, Minnikhanov presented in "Tatarstan: the use of Singapore's experience" session and took part in the documentary film about one of the founders of Singapore's economic miracle - the former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.
