Rustam Minnikhanov: "Russia should be presented in the Muslim world"

President of Tatarstan held about ten meetings with official delegations of the Islamic world on KazanSummit 2013. Together with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan participated Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Ilyas Umakhanov and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov.

With the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Sayed Nayar Hussain Bokhari head of state discussed the possibility of trade cooperation, opportunities in supplying vehicles, ships, helicopters, equipment and compressors.
At a meeting with a delegation from Qatar, headed by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade of the State of Qatar Sultan Al Khater Minnikhanov said that «KazanSummit - is the gateway to Russia for the Islamic world."
At the meeting Tatarstan President noted the engineering, manufacture of helicopters, the implementation of Kazan Smart City and Innopolis, shipbuilding, construction of high-speed highway Moscow- Kazan, the development of industrial areas on the territory of Tatarstan.

The next meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan was held with the participation of the delegation of the United Arab Emirates, led by the Deputy Minister of Economy of the UAE Abdullah Al-Saleh. They discussed the development of business relations between the republic and the UAE, as well as directions for future work.

At a meeting with a delegation, headed by Malaysian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Russia once again discussed the Kazan Smart City: the head of state underscored the participation of Malaysian consortium in implementation of master plan of a new investment platform of Tatarstan.

 At last there was a meeting of Minnikhanov and the OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, where the Secretary General shared their impressions of the changed Kazan and called Tatarstan "Singapore in the Russian Federation."
