Kazakhstan is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan
First Deputy Head of the Tatarstan Agency for Investment Development Insaf Galiev took part in the meeting of the Rais of Tatarstan with the Akim of the Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy and the Akim of the Kyzylorda region Nurlybek Nalibaev. The meeting took place in the Kazan Kremlin. The guests arrived in Kazan to participate in the international forum of cities of the BRICS+ countries.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that today Kazakhstan is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. Over the past year, trade turnover between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan increased by 7% and amounted to $810 million. Rais said that the volume of mutual trade can be increased to $1 billion.
Today, agreements are being implemented with a number of Kazakhstani regions, Tatarstan companies are active in Kazakhstan. Thus, KAMAZ assembly production operates in the republic, work is underway to expand auto centers and train personnel.
“Our other enterprises are also actively working with Kazakhstan. Among them are such leading companies as the Kazan Helicopter Plant, ElAZ, KER-Holding, Pozis, Almetyevsk Pipe Plant, Tatkhimfarmpreparaty, Kazankompressormash, Eidos and others. Among the promising areas of our cooperation, I will note energy, industry and machine tool building, automotive and transport, aircraft and helicopter manufacturing, gas engine fuel, petrochemicals, digitalization,” listed Rais of Tatarstan.
