The agency takes part in one of the world's leading conferences on Islamic banking and finance
The head of the Tatarstab Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, within the delegation of Tatarstan, is participating in the 19th Annual Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance, which is currently taking place in Manama (Kingdom of Bahrain). She has already taken part in the opening ceremony and signed a memorandum of understanding between the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions).
The main theme of this year is "Using Islamic finance to create a sustainable, efficient and flexible halal ecosystem for Muslim economies."
In his welcoming speech, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan noted: "One of the important mechanisms of cooperation between our country and Muslim states is the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group." He emphasized that Tatarstan is contributing to the development of Russia's ties with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. "With the support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, we annually hold the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum." This is the largest economic platform in our country for discussing issues of cooperation between Russia and Muslim states." Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Russia has great prospects in the field of development of the Islamic economy. He recalled that Tatarstan is a pilot region for the implementation of the principles of Islamic (partnership) banking and financing in Russia. There are 27 organizations in the register of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, 20 of which operate in Tatarstan. All the main products of Islamic financing are present on the market.
Also, at a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) Sheikh Ibrahim bin Khalifa al Khalifa, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan has established good business relations with the Organization. Its representatives regularly participate in the International Economic Forum "KazanForum". As part of the last event, they held an educational course on Islamic finance for the participants.

The Islamic Banking and Finance Conference is held annually under the auspices of AAOIFI and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
