Suma Chakrabarti: "Tatarstan - is a very important partner of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development"

Today, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency representatives met with a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), headed by the President of the bank Suma Chakrabarti.
The meeting was attended by the TIDA First Deputy
Chief Executive Robert Galiullin, Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov, Managing Director of EBRD in Russia Natalia Khanzhenkova, Head of the EBRD on the PFD Catherine Solovova and others.

As part of the visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, the EBRD delegation has already visited Naberezhnye Chelny, production plants of "KAMAZ" special economic zone "Alabuga" and met with Prime Minister of the Republic Ildar Halikov. The meeting was held this morning in the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Welcoming the guests, Robert Galiullin noted that this is not the first time when EBRD visits Tatarstan and therefore they are familiar with the economic possibilities of the republic.

Bank has successfully cooperated with the Republic of Tatarstan for the past 18 years. During this time, the Bank has signed 16 projects in the Republic, which totaled 339 million euro. In 2007, in Kazan was the annual meeting of the EBRD Board of Governors. In July 2011, a delegation of members of the Bank’s Board of Directors visited Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny.

To the representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development today presented the investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, industrial areas of the Republic, the concept of “Great Kazan”, the components of which are the projects of Kazan Smart City and Innopolis.
"Tatarstan – is a very important partner of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and I would like to note your progress in bringing to the territory of the Republic a numerous investors", - noted the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Suma Chakrabarti.
In response, TIDA Deputy
Chief Executive told about the big work in promoting investment opportunities in the Republic in international markets. Robert Galiullin also noted that Tatarstan has different preferences for investors wishing to locate their production in its territory.

Finally sides expressed interest in further cooperation.
