Netherlands health care companies visit Kazan

The delegation is led by the Netherlands Foreign Trade and Cooperation Development Minister Lillian Plumen and Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport Edith Schippers.

Today, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan has opened a series of bilateral meetings between enterprises of the Netherlands medical industry and Russian companies. The purpose of these discussions is to establish business relations and search for potential business partners.

Netherlands companies in Russia will visit two cities - Moscow and Kazan, and visit is scheduled for the period from November 5 to 8. The purpose of the visit is exploring the potential cooperation between Netherlands and the Russian Federation.
The delegation includes the medical sphere of the Netherlands, whose activities are related to the designing health facilities, the production of medical equipment and consumables
, diagnosis of diseases, research activities, management of disaster and emergency situations.

In the meetings with the delegation takes part Tatarstan Investment Development Agency First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin. At the meeting to the guests were presented investment opportunities of the Republic and Kazan Smart City, where will also be created a medical cluster. There will be built medical clinics, laboratory and diagnostic, research and development centers.

This morning the new areas of mutual cooperation were discussed at a meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Netherlands Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport Edith Schippers. It was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Russian Federation Ron Van Dartel.
At a meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov representatives of Netherlands underscored their interest in developing a number of projects in Tatarstan. They have also expressed interest in Kazan Smart City and "Innopolis" projects.
