Today, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency chaired by Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District Oleg Mashkovtsev and Head of the Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina held an introductory meeting on the preparation and holding of the 5th meeting of the Council for Interregional Cooperation in the Volga-Yangtze format and the 8th Forum of the Volga-Yangtze Association of Universities.

Before the meeting, Taliya Minullina held a presentation of the investment and economic potential of Tatarstan in the Unified Presentation Center of the Agency for high-ranking guests of the republic. During this presentation, the parties discussed the details of presenting the region's potential to partners from China.

During the meeting, a work plan was outlined for the Council to organize a congress of participants of the Volga-Yangtze association, which will be held on May 21-22. Participation is planned for 14 governors of the Volga Federal District and 14 governors of the provinces of the People's Republic of China.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Kazan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Kazan International Airport, the Department of External Relations of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of State Protocol of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of International and Inter-Municipal Relations of the Kazan City Duma, rectors and vice-rectors of Kazan institutes, as well as the rector of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "R. E. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University", co-chairman of the Association of Universities "Volga-Yangtze".
