A series of meetings with representatives of Turkey, one of Tatarstan's leading partners and investors, took place at the Government House today. Taliya Minullina attended them as Secretary of the KazanForum regional organizing committee and head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Taliya Minullina: "Turkey is one of Tatarstan's leading foreign partners. We have successfully operated the Turkish plants Kastamonu Entegre, Hayat Kimya, 2 plants of the company Shishejam, 2 plants of Joshkunoz, Koluman, Premium Cardan. Turkish investors are also implementing projects in the hotel business and construction."
Early in the morning, a business meeting was held with Mr. Nihat Zeybekci, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party for Economic Affairs (Turkey), a member of the Russia–Islamic World Strategic Vision Group. It discussed issues of participation in the meeting of the Strategic Vision Group and in the International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum" in May this year.
Rustam Minnikhanov: "Tatarstan is interested in the Turkish business further developing projects in Tatarstan, using our republic as a platform for entering the Russian and Eurasian markets."
After lunch, high-ranking representatives of Tatarstan met with the Chairman of the Commission on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Mustafa Varank.
Taliya Minullina: "The President of the Republic noted that there are prospects for the development of trade and cooperation between Turkey and Tatarstan, and it is impossible not to agree with him. In such areas as the automotive industry and automotive components, machine tool manufacturing and metalworking, agriculture and the food industry, agricultural machinery, cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises, medical tourism and many others, there is still something for all of us to work on."
Rustam Minnikhanov: "We attach great importance to the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation with the Republic of Turkey. Tatarstan acts as an effective link between our countries. This is facilitated by the active exchange of delegations and established contacts with the Turkish leadership. We are interested in Turkish business further developing projects in Tatarstan and using our republic as a platform for entering the Russian and Eurasian markets."
We also remind you that last week (April 15-18) Kazan was visited by a representative delegation of the Turkish-Russian Business Council of the DEIC.
