Taliya Minullina held talks with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation
Huseyn Ibrahim Taha arrived in Tatarstan yesterday at the invitation of the Raisa of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia-Islamic World" Rustam Minnikhanov. This morning, he visited the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan. The head of the Agency introduced him to the economic and investment potential of Tatarstan Talia Minullina. After the high-ranking guest and the delegation accompanying him visited the unified presentation center of the AIR of the Republic of Tatarstan, he took part in orientation talks with representatives of Tatarstan, namely Talia Minullina and the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin. During the meeting, the parties outlined plans for further strengthening and development of cooperation between the republic and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Taliya Minullina: "The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the leading Islamic association in the world, comprising 57 countries, including Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Russia is an observer in the organization. The XVII International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum" was included in the program of events for 2026, dedicated to the fact that Kazan next year will be the cultural capital of the Islamic world. In 2025, as part of KazanForum, the capital of Tatarstan will host the Congress of Ministers of Culture of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the first time. The decision that Kazan will become the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2026 was made on February 13 at the XIII Conference of Ministers of Culture of the OIC countries, which was held in Saudi Arabia."
During his visit, the high-ranking guest also intends to visit the Bulgarian State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve, the Bulgarian Islamic Academy and the Kazan Kremlin.

Tatarstan's trade turnover with the OIC countries in 2024 increased by 38% and amounted to $ 7.9 billion. Close trade and economic relations have developed with Egypt, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Turkey, and the states of Central Asia. Relations with partners from Asia and Africa are steadily strengthening. The share of the OIC countries in the total foreign trade turnover of the republic is approaching 50%.
