Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with the Minister of Education of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mrs. Sarah Al Amiri, today. The meeting was attended by Taliya Minullina, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. It took place within the framework of the events of the III International Forum of Ministers of Education "Shaping the Future" in Kazan.
The Rais of Tatarstan recalled that the visits of Tatarstan delegations to the UAE have already become a tradition. He particularly noted that Tatarstan annually participates in the investment forum, as well as in the IDEX international arms exhibition. Delegations from the UAE annually take part in the KazanForum International Economic Forum.
Taliya Minullina: "The United Arab Emirates is an important trade and investment partner of Russia. Over the past 5 years, the trade turnover between the two countries has grown almost 3 times. The turnover of trade in services increased by more than 5 times, exceeding the turnover indicator. Russia and the UAE provide each other mainly with transportation, tourism and financial services. This was stated during a session on investment cooperation in the development of industrial and trade cooperation between Russia and the UAE. The meeting took place within the framework of the meeting of the Russian-Emirati Business Council, "on the sidelines" of the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum 2025". The mutual inflow of investments between our countries is steadily growing. In recent years, the volume of mutually accumulated investments has increased tenfold. The Emirates ranks 3rd among all countries investing in Russia. At the same time, the main share of Emirati investments is in manufacturing, transport, logistics, trade and services. The number of Russian companies operating in the UAE has reached 3,500.
Today, there are a number of promising areas for cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Tatarstan. For example, in the field of petrochemical, mechanical engineering, logistics, medicine, construction, science and education, and of course investments! So, within the framework of KazanForum, the Agency was visited by a representative of the Dubai Investment Fund."
