A strategic session was held in Almetyevsk on the results of the first stage of the development of a master plan for the socio-economic and spatial development of the Almetyevsk agglomeration. The master plan covers a long-term perspective — up to 2050. Igor Sapunov, Deputy Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the event.
Guzel Khabutdinova, Head of the Executive Committee of the Almetyevsk district, said: "Creating an agglomeration is a path to a sustainable future based on partnership, mutual assistance and pooling resources. Together, we will be able to form an integrated development system and implement projects in the fields of economics, healthcare, education, tourism and support for small and medium-sized businesses."
One of the promising areas of the master plan was the development of tourist infrastructure. Among the key objects of the tourist infrastructure are highlighted: the sanatorium "Bakirovo", the project of a recreational zone on the basis of the Karabash reservoir "Karabash Sea". In total, the agglomeration has 9 sanatoriums, 44 hotels, 38 bases and rest homes, as well as 1 ski complex.
The completion of the first stage of the master plan development includes the collection and analysis of the initial data. During the strategic session, the participants discussed the preliminary results, outlined priority areas and steps for the next stage.
Taliya Minullina, Head of the TIDA: "The development of the Almetyevsk agglomeration is a strategic priority for the Republic of Tatarstan. During the development of the strategy, the AIR RT made proposals related to the development of the investment sector in the territory, including: the development of a structure with information on the planned location of economic entities, indicating the developed and economically lagging areas of the Almetyevsk agglomeration. Also, to make an analysis on the emergence of new facilities in the context of industry affiliation, on the basis of which to put forward a proposal to attract private capital."
