The Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan gathered companies whose practices were included in the review of the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals by the Republic of Tatarstan, presented by the Head of the Agency Taliya Minullina 3 weeks ago.

In addition, the practices of Tatarstan organizations were included in the Russian report. It includes the initiatives of KAMAZ (training and service center in Turkmenistan), Tatneft (Olympiad of young environmentalists) and Danaflex (technologization of work processes).
Lenar Karimov, Head of the Group on Sustainable Development and Climate Change of the Department of Environmental Protection and Ecology of PJSC Tatneft, said that the company is implementing measures for 10 of the 17 SDGs, the report includes the largest number of practices from all companies – 14. Tatneft continues to work in the field of bioenergy. Biogas, biooil and biochar are obtained from wood biomass. Biogas is used for energy production, bio–oil is used for fuel production. Biochar can be used to produce fertilizers.
Sergey Shagiakhmetov, Deputy General Director of PJSC Tattelecom, emphasized lean manufacturing, and also shared effective methods for optimizing department and employee management processes, namely dashboards. (A dashboard is an interactive dashboard that visually presents data from various sources in the form of graphs, charts, and tables for monitoring and analyzing information.)
Stanislav Martynenko, Head of the Public Relations Service at PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, said that initiatives such as the reclamation of silt accumulators in the Borok village area, the reconstruction of a waste disposal site, the construction of modern flare-type systems at the EP-600 complex and the Geksen-1 plant have been implemented in the Nizhnekamsk region of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as installation of automated monitoring posts for sanitary protection zones.
Ruslan Kurbanov, GR Director of Danaflex Group, showed samples of packaging made from vivilene produced by NKNH as an example of eco-friendly products. He noted that 82% of the group's product portfolio has an alternative in the form of recyclable solutions.
"We are planning the construction and launch of a plastic waste recycling plant. They are also present at landfills. Regional operators sort them and further sell them as secondary material. We are actively searching for a site and looking for points of obtaining raw materials," Ruslan Kurbanov said.
Danaflex Alabuga also plans to put into operation a recovery station next year, which allows it to catch harmful substances from the air.
Anatoly Kiyashko, Deputy General Director, Director for Interaction with government Authorities and Corporate Partners of KAMA JSC, shared the company's plans to produce electric vehicles that will be presented to the public in the foreseeable future.
Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan: "Close cooperation between industrial enterprises and scientific circles is necessary to effectively solve environmental problems. Environmental protection is also about the quality of life of our citizens. We are indeed a technogenic republic, and therefore we need to pay special attention to environmental protection and the rational use of natural resources."
