Sberbank opens in Tatarstan International Desk unit

The new "Tatarstan Bank" division of Sberbank of Russia specializes in servicing foreign companies operating and implementing various projects in the territory of republic.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Sberbank of Russia" Sergey Gorkov, Deputy Chairman of the Volga-Vyatka Bank of Sberbank of Russia, "Bank of Tatarstan" Director  Rushan Sahbiev, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin and heads of a number of Turkish companies.

Robert Galiullin at the meeting noted that, according to statistics in the Republic of Tatarstan operate more than 1.4 thousand foreign companies, 568 of which - with 100% foreign capital.

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency First Deputy also said that the amount of foreign trade between Turkey and the Russian Federation is 35 billion U.S. dollars, with Tatarstan - 930 million U.S. dollars.

"On the territory of SEZ" Alabuga" currently operates such Turkish companies as LLC "Dzhoshkunoz-Alabuga", LLC "Hayat Kimya", JSC "Automotive Glass Alliance Rus”, “Sisecam”, LLC “Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry", - underscored Robert Galiullin.

Sergey Gorkov, talking about the new bank division, said that in October International Desk was presented in Astana in the Kazakh-Turkish business forum "Astana-Istanbul, expanding of cooperation". Currently ID offices operate in Almaty and Astana. The first customers of the new office became Turkish companies. By the way, opening an ID office in Tatarstan held during the Russian-Turkish public forum, which was held in November in Kazan.

In Istanbul (Turkey) operates a subsidiary bank of Sberbank group - DenizBank. Note that the acquisition of DenizBank AS, ranked fifth among private banks in Turkey and ninth among all banks in the country in terms of total consolidated assets, Sberbank made in September 2012.
According to Sergei Gorkov Sberbank of Russia sets the task to build a completely different business model that would allow assisting businessmen in different countries and would contribute to the development of trade relations between states.
Until the end of the year, Sberbank intends to open International Desk offices in Moscow and Rostov -on-Don, where Turkish companies are also presented.
The plans for 2014 – is opening offices in St. Petersburg and Kiev, as well as Bosnia.
