The geography of participants in the Islamic finance experiment is expanding
Taliya Minullina: "Today we have 33 organizations on the website of the Bank of Russia, 14 of them are from the Republic of Tatarstan. We still have four regions in the experiment, plus the central offices of credit and financial organizations in Moscow."
The round table on Islamic finance in the AIR RT showed that market participants began to appear in other regions. Including in the Krasnodar Territory, Astrakhan region, Karachay-Cherkessia, Ingushetia.

Taliya Minullina, head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, also told reporters that they plan to open an office of the Organization for Accounting and Auditing for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) in Kazan.
"We hold joint events with them. This year's conference was held at the KazanForum site. And now we are talking about opening an AAOIFI office in Kazan, in the Republic of Tatarstan, in Russia. This is where we are so that we can move forward on this topic."
