These days, Insaf Galiyev, First Deputy Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, is on a working visit to the Republic of Turkey as part of the republic's government delegation led by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan.
The day before in Istanbul, Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with representatives of the management of a number of industrial enterprises, which was attended by Insaf Galiyev.
During the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov recalled that Turkish companies had invested about $2 billion in Tatarstan. He briefly dwelled on the economic and industrial potential of the region, and also noted that there are good prospects for cooperation in such areas as the automotive industry and automotive components, machine tool and metalworking, agricultural machinery, high technology and IT, etc.
The Tatarstan delegation also met with the Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Fatih Kajir.
