Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive gets the award for supporting Islamic banking and finance in the region

Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) ceremony was held on the eve during the World Islamic Retail Banking Conference.

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov awarded the prestigious GIFA nomination - Islamic Finance Advocacy Award 2013 - for his contribution to the promotion of Islamic finance. Special Award to Linar Yakupov was presented for supporting Islamic banking and finance in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Among the winners of the award over the years became Malaysian state Crown Prince Perak Raja Nazrin Shah (nomination "World leader in the field of Islamic finance", 2012) and former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (nomination "World Leader in Islamic finance”, 2011).
