Secretary of the Ministry of AYUSH Rajesh Kumar Kotecha proposed 3 vectors for the development of cooperation with Tatarstan. This will increase cooperation between India and the Republic of Tatarstan and contribute to their economic growth. The Secretary of the Ministry expressed his initiatives at the business breakfast of the business forum "TIME: Russia – India. Mutual effectiveness". The business program of the forum is taking place in the capital of Tatarstan today.
The first vector is traditional ayush medicine. Rajesh Kumar Kotecha proposed to create a working group to develop this area. "Perhaps it could be a group at Kazan University. We can consider creating channels for the supply of these products to Tatarstan. Tatarstan can become the first hub, a harbor for the development of this area," he said.
The second is to attract investments in the traditional medicine sector. According to him, there are many entrepreneurs in India who are interested in implementing a project to create a health center in Tatarstan.
"I think it's a great initiative to create a resort and spa center. It will be an excellent Indo-Russian project. It will be great if it is implemented in Kazan," Rajesh Kumar Kotecha said.
The third is cooperation with Kazan Federal University on the organization and conduct of clinical research in the field of traditional medicine. Scientific activities will be carried out jointly with the Ministry of AYUSH. Rajesh Kumar Kotecha suggested appointing a curator of this work at the Kazan university.
"I am sure that this work will contribute to the scientific development and change of views on traditional medicine. Of course, this activity has economic potential, and will also allow Tatarstan to become the center of integration medicine throughout Russia," said Rajesh Kumar Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of AYUSH.
