The investment climate and partner financing are the competitive advantages of Tatarstan, according to the Rais of the Republic
As part of his working visit to the UAE, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the plenary session of the Russian-Emirati Business Forum "Architecture of Long-term Growth: new horizons of cooperation between Russia and the UAE".
Answering a question from the moderator of the panel session, he spoke about the competitive advantages of Tatarstan for a long-term partnership with the UAE. "Tatarstan consistently holds leading positions in the National Rating of the investment climate in the Russian regions. A powerful investment and innovation infrastructure has been created in our republic. This is a multitude of sites of various levels and purposes," emphasized the Rais of Tatarstan.
He drew attention to the fact that the United Arab Emirates, by developing a sustainable industry and high-tech industries, can find a partner in Tatarstan with a strong industry and innovation base. And the republic, in turn, can gain access to investments and new markets. Thus, it will be a mutually beneficial cooperation.
Another important advantage of Tatarstan in this matter is partner financing. Tatarstan is a pilot region for the implementation of the principles of Islamic banking and finance in Russia. "Our data confirms a significant increase in interest in this instrument from both citizens and financial organizations. Today, all the main products of Islamic finance are present in our market. They were developed by specialists from our republic, certified by the Organization for Accounting and Auditing for Islamic Financial Institutions (IOFI). It is planned to open a representative office of AIOFI in Tatarstan soon," said Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
