Ford Sollers Elabuga produces the fifty thousandth car

The white Ford Explorer Limited became the fifty thousandth car, produced in the Ford Sollers Elabuga factory. It has Cyclone™ gasoline engine, 3.5-V6 powered 294 hp, SelectShift™ six-speed automatic transmission and Terrain Management™ intelligent all-wheel gear.

Production of the Ford cars in the Ford Sollers Elabuga factory began in January 2012. Today the company produces Ford Explorer, Ford Kuga, Ford Transit, Ford Tourneo Custom, Ford S-MAX and Ford Galaxy models.

Production of Ford Explorer using complete cycle technology was launched in April 2013. Full cycle of the first Ford Kuga smart-crossover was launched in October current year - launching ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, President Ford Sollers JV Ted Kannis, Executive Director of the Ford Sollers JV Adil Shirinov, JSC «Sollers» CEO Vadim Shvetsov as well as a special guest – Ford Board of Directors Chairman William Clay Ford.

Currently in Elabuga continues the construction of the Ford Sollers plant for the engines production, which will be launched in 2015. Expanding Ford Sollers’s production creates in Tatarstan new jobs - by the end of the year the total number of employees will reach 2.5 thousand people.
