Grand Opening of the Center for Unique Craftsmanship (TSUM)

29 April 2026, Wednesday

Taliya Minullina participated in the opening of the Center for Unique Craftsmanship (TSUM).

The Center for Unique Craftsmanship was grandly opened today for visitors and is located in the renovated building of the former Central Department Store – TSUM (Moskovskaya St., 2).

The modern TSUM is a strategic project designed to preserve and continue the development of Tatarstan's cultural code. The entire space of the building is dedicated to workshops, creative masterclasses, and exhibition areas. It also features a gastronomic sector and halls for events.

Guests of TSUM were greeted with a theatrical prologue "City of Masters." A performance by the children's Tatar theater studio "Apysh" also took place.

The Rais of Tatarstan toured the creative workshops and visited the exhibition areas. These included the "Islam Art" Arabic calligraphy workshop, a workshop for creating author's jewelry and accessories, a space showcasing Tatar ethno-instruments (Alpar), the "Magic Threads" carpet weaving workshop, a willow weaving studio, and products from the Alekseevskaya Artistic Weaving Factory.

On one of the floors, there are spaces displaying a collection of traditional Kukmor felt boots and leather goods with national ornaments – Tatar boots (ichigi), home slippers, and other products.

On the basement floor of TSUM, products from the Tatar Book Publishing House are exhibited.

We remind you that the opening program of this unique space included masterclasses – including those on folk crafts and traditional dish preparation. All visitors to TSUM can explore the exhibition of costumes of the peoples of the Volga region, an exhibition of paintings by artist Guzel Khaybullina, and an exhibition featuring over 600 antique samovars and other items for Tatar tea ceremonies from the personal collection of Rustem Akhmedzyanov.
