Tatarstan Export Corporation discusses areas of cooperation with a region’s medical cluster

At the discussion reviewed issues of Tatarstan medical products promotion to the other countries.

The meeting, which was held in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA), was attended by TIDA Deputy Chief Executive Insaf Galiyev, Tatarstan Exports Corporation CEO Ayrat Nazmeev, Tatarstan Export Corporation First Deputy Aidar Abdrahmanov, Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce Deputy Chairman Arthur Nikolaev, Tatarstan Export Support Center Chief Executive Vasily Chistyakov and the heads of several major medical companies.

During the discussion were presented Tatarstan investment opportunities and Smart City Kazan project, whose investment attractiveness is based on the cluster development of the territory and where medical cluster will be created.

Ayrat Nazmeev underscored that Tatarstan Export Corporation is «ready to support medical enterprises of the region in promoting their products abroad through exhibition activities, provide financial, insurance and legal services, as well as customs declaration services».

There were also discussed the issues concerning manufacturers. In particular, the need to protect domestic products from imported goods. Noted, for example, products imported from China, do not meet the required standards of the Russian Federation, but is presented in the domestic market because of their low prices. This does not allow domestic producers to compete in the market by their prices.

As a result of the meeting sides expressed interest in their further cooperation.
