Tatarstan is among the top 10 economic developed Russian regions

According to the «RIA Rating» agency Republic of Tatarstan rated as the one of the leading regions by quality of life. It is located in the fourth place.

Rating includes 61 indexes, which are combined into 10 groups, characterizing the main aspects of quality of life in the region. Among them: income level, housing conditions, availability of social infrastructure, environmental and climatic conditions, security, demographics, health and education, transport infrastructure, territory development level, level of economic and small business development.

The first positions in the ranking are given to Moscow and St. Petersburg, who are leaders by many aspects. The top ten also includes economically developed regions such as Moscow region, Tatarstan, Krasnodar, Belgorod, Voronezh region, Khanty-Mansi autonomous region – Yugra, Tyumen and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

At the opposite pole of the rating located Dagestan Republic, Kabardino -Balkar Republic, Kurgan, Republic of Buryatia, Karachay-Cherkessia, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Altai Republic, the Republic of Kalmykia and Tuva Republic. These regions don’t have the foundations for a successful economic development and not provided by mineral resources, therefore they do not have a sufficient level of revenues.

Tatarstan has a high rating point for such group of indicators as «housing conditions» – 73.9, «income level» – 62.5, «ecological and climatic conditions» – 62.4, «economic development» – 61. More than 55 points got on the following parameters: «residence security» (59.9), «small business development» (59.6), «population’s health and education» (58.8), «demographics» (56.5). Consolidated rating point of the region is 59.18.
