Today, on July 6, Maria Krivenkova, Deputy Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, delivered a report on the cross-cutting localization of Sustainable Development Goals in regional governance at a meeting of the Russian Association for the United Nations.
Key results of the second quarter of 2026:
Investment climate — Tatarstan took the 1st place in the National Rating (together with Moscow), not only due to high performance in 125 Rating parameters, but also due to the growth of the integral index — 3 times higher than the average for Russia.
Financial stability — the share of enterprises' own funds in investments reached a record 81.1%. Businesses are ready to invest profits in the development of territories without expensive borrowings.
Global Partnership — KazanForum 2026 brought together 99 countries, 163 agreements were signed, 86 of them are international.
Industry and ecology — launch of the EP‑600 ethylene complex, modernization of wastewater treatment plants, construction of the Nizhnekamsk — Kazan smart ethylene pipeline.
🏛 Heritage and municipalities — Tatarstan is a pilot for the involvement of cultural heritage sites. 41 monuments have been converted into investment lots, and a 1 ruble lease program has been launched.
👨👩👧👦 Family business — a round table on the sustainability of dynasties, the protection of continuity and the launch of an accelerator for industrial tourism is being prepared in the Bugulminsky municipal district of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan proves that even in difficult macro conditions, the regional team is able to integrate SDGs at all levels — from corporations to small towns and family businesses. New horizons of sustainable growth are ahead. 🌱
