At the Abu Dhabi summit discuss the future energy-saving technologies
In the period from January 20-22, 2014 in the «ADNEC» Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Centre holds «World Future Energy Summit 2014» (WFES).
The event is dedicated to the critical energy issues of the future, energy-saving technologies and the importance of developing, implementing renewable energy sources and their rational use. Annual summit held under the patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates - His Highness Sheikh Khalif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The annual event is attended by heads of states, ministers, heads of global international organizations and major national economic operators. At the summit in 2014 participates Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov. Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan is the curator of Kazan Smart City project, which in its implementation uses the principles and ideas of «green» building, including energy-saving technologies.
The program WFES-2014 includes the following topics: international politics in the field of environmental protection, increasing the growth rate of energy efficiency, increasing the role of renewable energy in the global structure of energy saving, the main strategic directions of environmentally clean technologies development; funding for projects on developing of alternative energy future.
The main sections of the summit are energy efficiency, solar and wind energy, biofuels, hydropower, energy efficiency, smart grid, clean transportation, waste management.
During the summit will also be held: «International Water Summit» (IWS) - a unique event, aim of which is a development of water sector; Project & Finance Village – presentation of projects in the field of clean, safe and renewable energy sources; Estidama-Compliant Home – presentation of environmental solutions in construction, includes everything from raw materials, electronics, and furniture to the final product; Energy Outlook Forum – a forum organized by ExxonMobil on the evolution of energy, International conference on waste and recycling – EcoWaste.
