Lithuania delegation visits Tatarstan

During the two-day trip to the region representatives of Lithuanian companies will get acquainted with the experience of Tatarstan in investment development, providing interaction between government and business and using of territory’s export potential.

The delegation includes the representatives of the largest in northern Europe combined transport and logistics company DFDS, concern ACHEMA GROUP, combining logistics, trade, energy, healthcare and financial services enterprises, JSC «Kroviniu Terminal» – one of the newest and most modern terminals in the Baltic region on petroleum and chemical products keeping.

Sphere of logistics and transportation are also presented by JSC «Baltijos pervezhimay» – one of the leaders in the field of ship agency and forwarding services of goods, «Lithuanian Railways», «Klaipėda Passenger and Cargo Terminal» and «Klaipeda seaport». Also the delegation includes the one of the leading European companies in the engineering and technical advice – Group AF.

In Tatarstan Investment Development Agency the delegation met with Agency Chief Executive First Deputy Robert Galiullin, heads of Support and monitoring of investment projects and the Development of public-private partnership departments, as well as Tatarstan Export Corporation Deputy CEO Aidar Abdrahmanov.

At the meeting Robert Galiullin briefly told about the Republic of Tatarstan, its investment potential and investment infrastructure. Due to the fact that most of the delegation represents transport and logistics companies, special attention was paid to the creation of Tatarstan Sviyazhsk multimodal logistics center.

Aidar Abdrakhmanov told the guests about the activities of Tatarstan Export Corporation and plans for increasing non-oil exports of the region.

Representatives of the Republic of Lithuania presented the capacities and activities of each of the companies represented in the delegation. The guests underscored that they are interested in developing cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan and are ready to work together.

During the visit, the Lithuanian delegation will also meet with the leadership of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarsan, the Chamber of Commerce and enterprises of the republic, visit the «Himgrad» technopolis, Kazan IT- Park, SEZ «Alabuga», TANECO and Taif-NK sites.
