President of the Republic of Tatarstan is on a working visit in Barcelona

The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Rustam Minnikhanov included Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Safin.

Today in Barcelona, began a working visit of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The main purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the experience of urban development and architecture of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

During the visit, President of Tatarstan acquainted with the experience of the Spanish capital of Catalonia in the historical transformation of the urban environment. Presentation to the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan held a chief architect of Barcelona Vicente Gualart Furio. Rustam Minnikhanov after viewing the presentation noted that the experience of Barcelona may be used for the development of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan – Kazan.

During a walking tour in the center of Barcelona Rustam Minnikhanov acquainted with innovative solutions in the field of city municipal services. In particular, he acquainted with successfully operating waste sorting system. Introduced nearly 20 years ago, the system of separate waste collecting has become customary for the citizens who distributes on three types of waste containers. Container color solves the future of its contents. The yellow container with a light cardboard, aluminum and plastic packaging carries on sorting plant. At the output of sorting line produces bales with almost the same type of content that goes on processing.

In the city streets Tatarstan President entered into one of the modern bus stops. In Barcelona stopping complex - it is not just a place where people are waiting for their route, it is also the place, where locates an information about all buses and their ways, has interactive screens broadcasting information. Tatarstan President also acquainted with the automatic control system for street parking.
