Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan signes an agreement on cooperation with colleagues from the Emirate of Sharjah

The signing took place during the official visit of the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Rustam Minnikhanov at the IV annual investment forum in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

The purpose of the forum, which will be held from 8 to 10 April 2014 in the «Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre», is to provide the greatest interaction and exchange of best practices, stimulate business and investment.

The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan includes: Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gimatdinov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Trade and Economic Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the UAE Timur Khairutdinov, JSC "Special Economic Zone «Innopolis» CEO Igor Nosov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Ageev.

Today, on the eve of the forum’sopening the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan held its first working meeting with the Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce Ahmed Mohammed Al Midfa. To the Tatarstan delegation was presented the economic and investment potential of the Emirate of Sharjah, development priorities and activities of the Chamber of Commerce. Noted that in Sharjah created about twenty industrial areas where concentrated small and medium enterprises of the chemical industry, organized a free economic zone trade.

Chairman of the SharjahChamber of Commerce Ahmed Mohammed Al Midfa, noting interest in mutual cooperation, told that «the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan will surely help to the development of Russian - UAE relations». The meeting resultedwith the signing of a cooperation agreement between the chambers of commerce of the Emirate of Sharjah and the Republic of Tatarstan for the development of mutually beneficial trade relations between Russian and Emirati entrepreneurs.
