In Urumqi was presented the investment opportunities of the Republic of Tatarstan

Presentation of the potential of the region took place during the visit of Tatarstan delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov to China.

Presentation of investment and economic potential of the republic was visited by about 170 representatives of Chinese companies, it was attended by heads of the leading enterprises of Tatarstan, representatives of ministries and departments.

The event opened Deputy Chairman of Government of Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region Shi Dagang. Welcoming the participants, he underscored, that in July planned a visit of the delegation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region business circles to Tatarstan.

«I hope that during today's meeting, representatives of the business community will open new directions for cooperation, agree on joint projects, - said Rustam Minnikhanov. - Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan highly appreciates the opportunity to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in Russian-Chinese relations».

The President told that Tatarstan is collaborating with a number of Chinese provinces, is planned to open Tatarstan’s office in Beijing. In the implementation of the region's largest project – «Ammonium» – participates the Chinese corporation CNCEC. The company plans to resume direct flights between Urumqi and Kazan, and through Tatarstan and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will pass the «Europe - Western China» transport corridor. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, good conductor for the development of trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is Tatar diaspora, living in Urumqi.

«We have a great opportunities, unfortunately, we do not use them totally, - stated the head of the republic. - We are interested in a launching the operations of Chinese businessmen in Tatarstan».

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov told during a presentation about the development of the republic's economy and the benefits of the region for investors. He emphasized that among the benefits of Tatarstan are the developed markets throughout Russia, low bureaucratic barriers, direct dialogue with the Government, tax preferences, and availability of qualified personnel.
